The Danish Music Magazine GAFFA just posted their review of John Mayer’s Born & Raised - named it his most powerful artistic album ever and gave him nothing 4 out of 6 stars :-)
Personally I would have given it a 5 out of 6, but all in all I agree with the reviewer in many of his views about the album - I guess I just have a love for the songs running so deep already that anything less seems like a crime….

The Redmayniacs (revoltingly, chrissallans, lolasteaparty, sanbaby) went on tour to The Guildhall to be in an audience with the Queen and various other celebs (and Eddie’s mum and nan!) to see Eddie in Mr Dickens and the Actors!

Yeah the cover art of the new album by John Mayer has been revealed …. very 1920-30’ties style about it. And is it just me or is that a coin w. the face of one Chad Franscoviak?
First I thought - hey looks a lot like a Dave Matthews Band cover and then again this has more details on it and a cleaner look. All in all I like the feel about it …. and yes excitement cannot even describe how I feel about this record dropping on May 22nd.

I ask Columbia Records and Mick Management to confirm the rumor of Shadow Days hitting the radio stations (on Twitter) and 1 1/2 hour later we get a confirmation from the man himself!!

It’s been 294 days since I saw John Mayer play TigerJam in Vegas - that is 294 days since the lovely Chad Franscoviak told us that the new album ‘Born And Raised’ was going to be amazing and that what they had already made back then would blow our minds….. !!!
And finally today we get a ‘sneak’ listen … I have never been this happy to have an iPhone as today on the other hand I have probably never been this embarrassed to my surroundings as today either. *still singing along and getting more than excited for a Born and Raised Tour*

As many of you will know there is no doubt I’m a music fan and yes I do spend a lot of my time and well most of my money really on music and traveling to concerts and shows (and theater).
But to be fair compared to the amount of music I buy and see live - I really only have a few songs, where I with no hesitation can say that I feel the song right down to the core and that the feeling when listening to it is that of pure and utter ecstasy. That feeling when you listen to the song everything else disappears and basically in my case I should not be allowed out in traffic as every part of my body and mind is involved with the song :-)
A couple of songs are on that list and have been for years, so when a new addition made it recently I was both surprised and excited - excited that I can still be moved by new music (saying that I feel acient - LOL!) The fact that it is made by a young artist makes it even more exciting - thus there is a chance that the artist will do this again in the long career he has in front of him.
The latest addition to the list is ‘Kiss Me’ by Ed Sheeran - have a listen to it here ……
Also on a note his upcoming concert in Copenhagen has been moved to a larger venue - more tickets has been released - go give him a listen if your in the neighborhood!!
Gazing at stars….
Just last night I was looking out at the skyline thinking that it is so sad that it is almost impossible to see stars in the City… I go to bed and next morning this beautiful picture is on my tumbler feed. Thanks John Mayer for giving me some stars back if only for a moment :-)
